The new year is just getting underway, and it’s already a busy time for politics in Georgia ahead of the 2026 legislative session.

Today, Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens was sworn in for his second term in office, along with incoming Atlanta City Council President Marci Collier Overstreet and other newly elected officials and municipal officers.
