The Atlanta Ballet retells holiday classic 'The Nutcracker' in immersive fashion

Tchaikovsky’s score for the Nutcracker Ballet captures the magic of winter holidays, and the beloved work is performed by ballet companies around the world to this very day. 

The Atlanta Ballet returns with its annual production of “The Nutcracker,” retelling the classic tale in an immersive fashion. Onstage at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre through December 26. 

In this interview, the Atlanta Ballet artistic director Gennadi Nedvigin joined “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes to talk more about the new production.

“We received amazing reviews about the production and the humor and choreography and the great spirit that the audience received after the performance,” Nedvigin says.
