At the German Cultural Center, the Goethe-Zentrum Center Atlanta, a new photography installation by Barbara Dombrowski, invites us to consider the interwoven network of humanity experiencing the everyday major disruptions of climate change across the globe. Her portraits of the inhabitants of five different continents, shot on location, are gathered in the exhibition, “Tropic Ice,” on view now at the Goethe-Zentrum Cultural Center in Atlanta.

In this interview, photographer Barbara Dombrowski spoke about the exhibit with “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes.

“I’m not showing disasters, I show people with faces and stories, and I really want to connect them in my work,” says Dombrowski.

The photo exhibit “Tropic Ice” is on view at Goethe-Zentrum German Cultural Center in Atlanta through the fall. More information is available here.
