Exhausted faces and tired legs wait for hours with hopes of making their flights. Passengers in Atlanta and across the country continue to experience longer wait times as staffing challenges worsen. Some have had to miss their flights as Transportation Security Administration (TSA) workers continue to work without pay.

Staff shortages mixed with a storm have created a recipe for disaster at the world’s busiest airport — Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

At a press conference outside Atlanta’s airport, Aaron Barker, president of the local union representing Georgia TSA workers, said that working without pay is not sustainable.
