UGA receives record number of applications, sends 15,400 admission offers for fall semester

The University of Georgia accepted over 15,400 freshmen for admittance for the fall 2026 semester after receiving a record-breaking number of applications nationwide.

The university saw a record 51,600 students submit applications this year, an 8.3% increase over the previous year.

The admitted students come from 156 of Georgia’s 159 counties, more than 2,800 high schools and 49 other U.S. states and Washington, D.C.
