N’namdi Arinze stands by his food. He says if doesn’t eat it, he won’t sell it. Arinze is making his mark in Atlanta’s food industry as the founder of Vegan Wangs. The plant-based chicken wing restaurant menu includes soy-free and non-GMO food items, such as wings tossed in a variety of sauces, sandwiches, salads and more.

Over the past few years, Arinze, alongside his sister, has expanded the business from online deliveries, ghost kitchens and pop-up events into a full-fledged brick-and-mortar location.

The 540-square-foot building is nestled in Southwest Atlanta on Cascade Road. Recently, host Rose Scott and the “Closer Look” team paid a visit to the new eatery. Scott talked with the Arinze family about the importance of offering tasty, healthy food options and building a legacy in their community. Arinze also talked about his aspirations to scale his business into a restaurant chain.
