A Fulton County judge says she will allow 81 City of Atlanta precincts in Fulton and DeKalb Counties to remain open until 8 p.m. today.

The ruling is necessary because of a conflict in state law.

State law requires cities the size of Atlanta to keep their polls open until 8 p.m. for their municipal elections. State law also requires statewide elections to wrap up voting at 7 p.m.
