What's going on with the drought in Georgia

The Georgia Environmental Protection Division recently declared a drought. Agriculture officials have designated 146 counties in the state as natural disaster areas. Crews continue to fight two large and other small wildfires, and Gov. Brian Kemp declared a state of emergency in much of south Georgia. 

Meanwhile, it rained in Atlanta this week, and we’ve got more rain in the forecast this weekend.
