PHOTOS: Neo-Nazi Rally In Newnan Met With Counter-Protests
Members of the National Socialist Movement, a U.S., neo-Nazi group, held a permitted rally in Newnan, Georgia, on Saturday.
The rally was scheduled to begin at 3 p.m., but the white nationalist group didn’t show up to Greenville Street Park until after 4 p.m. Their group was small, about 25 people, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
Dozens of counter-protesters were cordoned off from the park with a barricade, fence, and a heavy police presence.
The AJC also reported that police arrested about 10 counter-protesters, and no one from the neo-Nazi group.
