For 40 years, the Georgia-based nonprofit Friends of Disabled Adults and Children (FODAC) has worked to provide refurbished equipment, such as wheelchairs, walkers, canes and so much more to Georgians across the state.

Chris Brand, who serves as the president and CEO, says FODAC serves around 8,000 households a year.

As a guest on Monday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Brand talked with host Rose Scott about the organization’s work, disaster relief efforts and how the organization is supporting people amid ongoing federal cuts.
