Come spring at Agnes Scott College in Decatur, seniors ring the campus bell on Friday afternoons to announce job offers and acceptance to graduate school. They then write their name and class year in the bell tower, where it will be seen as inspiration to future generations of grads. The bell ringing tradition dates back many decades. Students and faculty will many times pause in that moment when they hear the school bell ringing.
