Those with electric cars can now charge their vehicles at two Cobb Community Transit locations. A total of eight electric vehicle charging stations have been installed at the Marietta Transfer Station and Busbee Park and Ride.
The eight charging stations were paid for with a federal grant from the U.S. Department of Energy. Cobb Community Transit Operations Manager Darryl Howell says their opening is the largest single installation in Cobb County. He says one of the goals is to promote transit ridership among electric car users as the vehicles grow in popularity.
