A new grocery store is being planned for senior residents near Atlanta’s Sweet Auburn neighborhood, which will soon provide easier access to food security in the historic community.

Economic development agency Invest Atlanta is partnering with the City of Atlanta to bring a Goodr grocery store to Edgewood Avenue near downtown. The store will be funded by an Atlanta Food Access Catalyst Grant worth $330,000.

The closest grocery store for residents in the area is Kroger on Caroline Street, which is about ten minutes away by car.
