The Georgia State Patrol is reporting 19 deaths statewide on Georgia’s roads over the Labor Day holiday weekend.
That’s more than double last year’s number, and it includes car, motorcycle and pedestrian deaths.
Authorities issued nearly 9,000 tickets over the holiday weekend. Half of those tickets issued were for speeding.
