Brent Leggs says Black churches are among the oldest institutions in America, founded by Black people.

Leggs, who serves as the executive director of the African American Cultural Heritage Action Fund, understands the importance of preserving Black culture, Black identity and Black churches—especially amid ongoing efforts by the Trump administration to revise history and end diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.

Currently, the African American Cultural Heritage Action Fund is accepting applications for its Preserving Black Churches grant program.
