The NBA has reached a tentative agreement with the National Basketball Players Association to hold the 2021 All-Star game in Atlanta on March 7, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
The last time Atlanta hosted an All-Star Weekend was in 2003 at the Philips Arena, now known as State Farm Arena. Further details have not been announced about the game or other All-Star Weekend events. But, there are reports about the NBA potentially having a “tie-in” with Historically Black Universities and Colleges for the game.
WABE reached out to The Atlanta Hawks to confirm the details of the game, and a representative said discussions are ongoing. They added that they were awaiting confirmation from the league as of Thursday afternoon.
