The Atlanta Pride festival is returning to the city on Saturday and Sunday, with hundreds of thousands of people excited to celebrate what has become the largest free LGBTQ+ Pride festival in the U.S.

This year’s theme, “Rooted in Resistance,” honors what festival organizers say is the layered history of the LGBTQ+ movement, “acknowledging the foundational acts of defiance and courage that have paved the way for current advancements.”
