Andre Dickens is highlighting his agenda for a second term as Atlanta mayor after winning reelection Tuesday night.
Dickens sat down with WABE’s “Morning Edition” just hours after his victory against Helmut Domagalski, Kalema Jackson and Eddie Andrew Meredith with 85% of the vote.
He said he always viewed the job as an eight-year commitment. Since taking office, he’s dealt with housing affordability and homelessness, a failed effort to make Buckhead its own city, a water infrastructure crisis, gun and youth violence, and pushback against the construction of Atlanta’s Public Safety Training Center, dubbed “Cop City” by opponents.
