The adaptive reuse project is the latest sign of some developers tackling the shortage of lower-cost housing in Atlanta. The issue is especially worrisome on the Westside, where longtime residents face displacement with the rise in mixed-use and luxury housing projects.

Atlanta developer Tenth Street Ventures teamed with Miles Alexander III, at Alexander Goshen, and Richard Taylor, with ARRC Capital Partners, to buy 1200 Mobile St. for $1.5 million. They closed on the project April 19.
