Minneapolis ICE shooting sparks national outrage, agent protocols called into question

The FBI is now investigating the shooting death of a woman in South Minneapolis. On Wednesday, following an immigration enforcement operation, an ICE officer shot and killed 37-year-old mother Renee Good while she was in her car.

There are conflicting reports about what exactly led to the shooting. However, President Trump, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and other federal authorities claim it was justified and in self-defense. While Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and local authorities say it was excessive use of force and unjust. The situation has sparked national outrage and ongoing protests in Minnesota’s Twin Cities.
