In January, Senate Bill 288 became law.
The new legislation allows Georgians to restrict and seal certain misdemeanor and felony
convictions from their record.
On Tuesday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Brenda Smeeton, the legal director at the Georgia Justice Project, and Cobb County District Attorney Flynn Broady talked with show host Rose Scott about how the new law will eliminate barriers and help people rebuild their lives.
