The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has new details on a fuel spill at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport that leached into the Flint River.

After investigation, the EPA said on Jan. 30 the airport released an estimated 10,000 gallons of fuel into the airport storm water system and the Flint River.

The agency said the fuel came from a fuel pit hydrant valve attached to a fuel system pipeline at the airport.
