ATLANTA, Ga. — Early intervention programs in the DeKalb County School District are designed to help struggling students by meeting them at their level. At Montclair Elementary School, Ms. Kline is the teacher who helps those students catch up.

Magdalena Smolinskakline, known to her students as Ms. Kline, serves as an EIP math teacher for fourth- and fifth-graders at the elementary school.

“I feel like my job is teaching math, but also to make my students feel confident,” Kline said.
