Pinnacle Financial Partners opened a new financial education center for underrepresented entrepreneurs in downtown Atlanta.

Dozens watched as Atlanta city officials and bank staff cut the ribbon for the newly opened Pinnacle Economic Empowerment Resource Center Thursday.

The PEER center seeks to teach financial literacy and support local businesses. Inside, there are areas dedicated to financial education and closing the resource gap for startup founders. Tracy Powell runs the center.
