For many Atlantans last fall, water took on a funky, dirty smell and taste from the sink to the shower.
Utilities say they were swamped with complaints about the smelly, gross water — and while most everyone’s water is back to normal now, utility operators across the region say they spent big bucks to fix the problem, and are looking at how to prevent it in the future.
Cole Blackwell from the Cobb County Marietta Water Authority said his team watches for a seasonal problem in their drinking water sources each fall.
