Kimberly Sanabria is one step closer to pursuing a career in pharmacy. The 2026 graduating senior at Agnes Scott College majored in chemistry and minored in artificial intelligence.
Sanabria, who is a first-generation college student, said attending Agnes Scott was life-changing because she found community and felt guided and supported. It’s also the place where she developed confidence and was allowed to follow her curiosity.
“There’s so many things that I think I’ve been able to accomplish because of Agnes Scott,” the graduate explained. “I think one of the most important things for me is being able to just do things because I want to and just finding myself in spaces I never thought I would be in before.”
On Thursday, Sanabria was a featured guest for “Closer Look’s” annual graduation series. She talked with program host Rose Scott about her academic journey, how she overcame her dislike of math and how getting involved in several on-campus groups and associations helped her grow as a leader, including serving as the president of Scot-Techs and the previous president of PathMakers. She also reflected on what it was like flying on an airplane for the first time to research and study abroad.
As for plans after graduation, Sanabria is planning to enroll in pharmacy school at the University of Michigan in the fall.
