Airlines Tout Plane-Cleaning Procedures To Ease Coronavirus Fears

Delta Air Lines is assuring passengers that the company is keeping its planes extra clean to help with fears around the coronavirus.

The Atlanta-based carrier says, as a global airline, it has had experience in handling outbreaks like Ebola and the H1N1 flu and has been preparing for something like the coronavirus for more than a decade.

“Operations are our lifeblood,”said Delta CEO Ed Bastian in a letter to customers. He said the airline has “continually refined and improved our ability to protect our customers.”
