Arabia Mountain High student dies after football practice

Upcoming Arabia Mountain High School sophomore Mikah King died Tuesday, July 22, after being rushed to the hospital during football practice.

According to an article from On Common Ground, King became ill during practice on Tuesday morning, was placed on an IV and then rushed to the hospital by an EMT who arrived at the scene at 9:30 a.m. King was an offensive lineman on the varsity team.

According to On Common Ground, he died around midnight. The team’s practice was then cancelled, along with a scrimmage game set for today. DeKalb Schools confirmed King’s death on July 23.
