Eight-time Grammy winner Jon Batiste performs Saturday, April 25 at Synovus Bank Amphitheater at Chastain Park with the Atlanta Pops Orchestra, the opening night of his Fantastical Tour. WABE Arts and Culture Editor Sherri Daye Scott sat down with Batiste ahead of the show for “What’s Feeding You?”
Saturday’s performance at Chastain Park is a rare orchestral date on the tour, which will take Batiste across the country and internationally.
“The orchestra is truly one of the greatest musical vehicles ever created,” Batiste said. “It takes you to a place within your mind and in your soul — and taps into that inner child, that inner light that’s within all of us.”
