WABE’s “Sounds Like ATL” music documentary series explores Atlanta’s renowned music scene community. Each episode spotlights a local Atlanta musician, where viewers can hear about their creative process and watch them perform a couple of songs. The weekly segments are released on WABE’s YouTube channel every Wednesday.

The first in this season’s episode spotlighted the Atlanta-based band The Renaissance Orchestra. Their music is a blend of classical and contemporary styles, incorporating elements of hip-hop, R&B, country and pop.

The band’s founder, Tyrone Bowie, also known as “O.G.,” said, “I love soul and I love being able to dive into that genre and make it new and see what I can do with it.”
