WABE’s “Sounds Like ATL” music documentary series explores Atlanta’s renowned music scene community. Each episode spotlights a local Atlanta musician, where viewers can hear about their creative process and watch them perform a couple of songs. The weekly segments are released on WABE’s YouTube channel every Wednesday.
This episode features the Atlanta-based psychedelic indie rock band Shock Tea. The band is comprised of Nik Howlett on vocals and sitar, Andrew Pangus on bass, Quaid Patterson on guitar and Avery Andrews, the jazz drummer.
“I consider Atlanta home because, firstly, I grew up here. So, whenever I go somewhere else, this is what I compare it to, and it’s got a great combination of variety of people and things and rent prices and detached homes where you can play music in,” chuckled Howlett.
