Atlanta is preparing for a busy weekend with major events across the city – including Atlanta Black Pride. On this edition of “Closer Look,” Bishop Oliver Clyde Allen III talks about what to expect this weekend, along with safety and security measures.

Meanwhile, organizers for fall events are watching this weekend closely, as it marks the largest gatherings to take place since Georgia’s permitless carry law went into effect. Jaime Fergerson, spokesperson for the Atlanta Pride Committee, joins the show ahead of the October festival.

Plus, longtime Atlanta journalist Portia Bruner is leaving her anchor desk at Fox 5 to host her own talk show. She joins “Closer Look” to talk about her career and what to expect on “Portia,” debuting Sept. 12.
