Known for arriving at breaking news scenes, sometimes before law enforcement and legacy media outlets, “Hood Anchor Ye” is increasingly a source that metro Atlanta residents turn to for information.
His legal name is Carldez Goodley, but he said “Ye” is the personality by which everyone has come to know him. He started doing the reports on social media as a joke in January, but since then, he has begun to take the endeavor more seriously once he saw the potential and impact of his work.
Covering everything from water main breaks to the recent shooting at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Ye says that his goal is to be consistent and build credibility.
