Belgium's ambassador shares US partnership goals during Atlanta tour

One of Frédéric Bernard’s first stops during his Atlanta tour was a one-on-one interview with “Closer Look host Rose Scott. It’s not his first visit to Georgia’s capital city, but he came on a mission as Belgium’s ambassador to the United States.

During the interview, Bernard told Scott his three objectives for meeting with Gov. Brian Kemp.

“Reinforce our security and defense partnership, reinforce economic ties, and connecting people,” said Bernard, who also added he plans to meet with local entrepreneurs. Bernard shared more about his country’s current economic status, his view on the working relationship between the U.S. and Belgium, and how it can benefit both countries.
