Conservative activist Charlie Kirk’s death Wednesday afternoon prompted an outpouring of sympathy and condemnations of political violence from Georgia politicians on both sides of the aisle.

Kirk, who was the co-founder and CEO of Turning Point USA and an ally of President Donald Trump, was fatally shot while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University hosted by the organization.
