Georgia Supreme Court Chief Justice Michael Boggs to resign

The chief justice of the Georgia Supreme Court announced on Tuesday that he will step down at the end of the court’s current term next month.

“After much prayer and reflection, I have decided that the time has come for me to begin the next chapter of my life,” Chief Justice Michael Boggs wrote in a letter to Gov. Brian Kemp.
