ConAgra Fined $11.2 Million For Tainted Peanut Butter

A federal judge hands an $11.2 million fine to ConAgra on Tuesday, ten years after the company shipped out tainted peanut butter that sickened more than 600 people in 47 states.

That’s the largest criminal fine linked to a food-borne illness in U.S. history.
