Coronavirus deaths in Georgia exceeded 200 on Saturday as people statewide spent their first full day under the governor’s emergency order to stay home.
The Georgia Department of Public Health reported that at least 208 people have died from illnesses related to the coronavirus as of Saturday evening and more than 1,200 have been hospitalized statewide. Total infections confirmed in the state exceeded 6,100.
