Manny Portillo is one of many people at the Georgia State Capitol today for Latino Day.

Portillo, who moved to the U.S. when he was 4 months old, is a father, a DACA recipient and a member of the LGBTQ community.

On Wednesday’s edition of “Closer Look,” he talked candidly with show host Rose Scott about his family’s immigration journey and shared why he’s joining GALEO at the state capitol to advocate for immigration, education, diversity, equity and inclusion.
