In January, “City Lights” rolled out a new series called “The Art of Teaching,” featuring Georgia educators whose dedication and creativity make a lasting impact on students, often turning their passions into professions. This installment spotlights Angela Harris, a ballet instructor at Emory University and adjunct professor of dance at Spelman College.

She’s also the founding executive artistic director of Dance Canvas, a nonprofit which provides opportunities for emerging professional choreographers and youth. In this interview, “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes speaks with Harris about her approach to the art of teaching.

“I think that’s the beauty of choreography, there really is no right or wrong answer. It really is an artist creating what is inside of them,” Harris said.
