DeKalb County has a history of being behind in repairing and replacing its aging water and sewer infrastructure. The county has also not raised water and sewer rates for customers in several years, leaving the county to grapple with these issues now.
The county commissioners have been discussing increasing the water and sewer rates that residents pay for several months. A few options have been presented and seem to be constantly changing.
