DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Roughly two weeks after the landmark announcement that marked 27 school buildings for possible closure, the DeKalb County school board members’ opinions are mixed.
The district used the words “not final” at the top of every presentation released about the closures and a final recommendation won’t arrive to the board in the fall. However, some board members still questioned aspects of the initial scenario’s rollout during a board retreat on Feb. 24.
“I’m not on board. I don’t agree with how we went about doing this,” board member Tiffany Hogan said.
