WABE Studio’s newest podcast, “Democracy Vibe Check,” explores how Gen Z engages in Civic Season. For the unfamiliar, Civic Season is held between Juneteenth and July 4 and aims to unite America’s oldest federal holiday with its newest, in an exploration of who we are as a nation, how we got here, and where we want to go next.

The podcast series hosts Maggie Bell, Gabriel Cruz and Cameron Katz represent Atlanta Gen Z voices, and together they bring in representatives from organizations that are central to the guiding values of Civic Season, including the Atlanta History Center, the National Center for Civil and Human Rights and the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Latino. In this interview, “City Lights” senior producer Kim Drobes speaks with “Democracy Vibe Check” hosts Gabriel Cruz and Cameron Katz about the podcast.

The season finale of Democracy Vibe Check comes out on Wednesday, July 5, and you can catch up on the entire season via your favorite podcasting app or on WABE.org/podcasts.
