As the saying goes retail follows the rooftops. In other words, stores typically wait until there are enough people in a particular area before setting up shop. It seems the time is right for emerging communities west of Atlanta’s downtown and midtown areas.
According to the Atlanta Business Chronicle, Atlanta developer Brandon Ashkouti of Eden Rock Real Estate Partners has filed plans for an up to 100,000-square-foot development called Westside Village at Moores Mill. It would sit on a nearly 10-acre site along Marietta Boulevard, north of the Crest Lawn Memorial cemetery.
Among the tenants, Atlanta’s popular Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q plans to open its second full-size restaurant at the project. Ashkouti is also in talks for chef-driven restaurants, a coffee shop, juice bar, day care center, fitness and yoga studios, co-working space and a specialty grocery store.
