Producer Shonda Rhimes on what inspires her, inclusive storytelling, AI and the future of entertainment

“Grey’s Anatomy,” “Scandal,” “How to Get Away with Murder,” “Private Practice” and “Bridgerton.” Shonda Rhimes has produced captivating and culturally defining television for more than 20 years.

The executive producer and screenwriter is celebrated within her industry and by fans as someone who creates moving, thrilling and heartfelt stories where everyone feels represented.

She’s also celebrating the 10th anniversary of her book, “Year of Yes,” which encourages readers to take chances and live a more fulfilling life. While on her book tour in Atlanta, Rhimes spoke to “Closer Look” program host Rose Scott about what keeps her inspired, her outlook on AI in the entertainment business and her hope for the future of storytelling and communities of color.
