The new Free Application for Federal Student Aid form, also known as FAFSA, is now available online for parents and students to fill out in hopes of securing critical funding for college. Your institution of choice uses the data to determine your federal aid eligibility.

The federal government revamped the form this year to make it more inclusive but at the expense of important college deadlines. The process has left some parents and students in limbo and feeling stressed about navigating this new form under a tighter timeline before decisions start rolling out.

But Atlanta Public Schools officials tell WABE’s “Morning Edition” they’re here to help.

APS counseling coordinators Maria Grover and Jennifer Wilson are hosting a ‘FAFSA Fiesta’ for parents and students to get assistance in completing the form.
