President Donald Trump will mark the end of his first year back in office on Jan. 20. His second term began with an influx of executive orders, followed by the dismantling of several federal agencies, including the Department of Education, and the Environmental Protection Agency, and the Atlanta-based Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Year one has also hit Americans with federal spending cuts and layoffs, as well as an aggressive crackdown by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents. Just days ago, under the direction of Trump, the U.S. military carried out a series of air strikes in Venezuela and captured President Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores.

For Feedback Friday on “Closer Look,” program host Rose Scott asked listeners to share their thoughts about the direction of the nation following year one of Trump’s return to the White House.
