The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia (USG) voted on Monday to make Dr. Robert Scott the sole finalist to become the next for president of Albany State University.
The selection should end a search to replace former Albany State president Marion Ross Fedrick, who resigned last July to serve as executive vice president and chief of staff to the president of Georgia State University.
Scott, a first-generation HBCU advocate and graduate of Georgia Tech’s Ph.D. program, has served as head of research and development at Kraft Heinz Company since 2021, according to a USG press release.
