The Ray C. Anderson Foundation, a family-run foundation named after a Georgia carpet manufacturing entrepreneur turned environmental advocate, has announced its plans to sunset the organization in 2030.

Founded in 2012, the Ray C. Anderson Foundation funds grants and research focusing on sustainability and climate change.

John Lanier, executive director of the foundation and Anderson’s grandson, says his grandfather was driven by his belief that business and the environment can — and must — go hand in hand.
