Bonnie Holliday, the president and CEO of the Georgia Charter Schools Association (GCSA), said charter schools are open to everyone.

Charter schools complement the public school education system, she said, adding that establishing a charter school is 10 times harder than starting a business.

That’s where the work of GCSA comes in. The association aims to push for equity, access and anatomy for charter schools — while also advocating for policies, providing training and offering other support to ensure success.
